CARA KERJA OBAT :
MUCOS® (Ambroxol HCl) berkhasiat sebagai mukolitik dan sekretolitik.
Memperlancar pengeluaran sekresi yang kental dan lengket di
dalam saluran pernafasan dan mengurangi staknasi lendir.Pengeluaran
lendir dipermudah, sehingga melegakan pernafasan. Selama pengobatan
dengan MUCOS® sekresi lendir menjadi normal, demikian juga
batuk dan volume dahak berkurang. Dengan demikian, sekresi yang
berupa selaput pada permukaan mukosa pernafasan akan berfungsi
sebagai protektif secara normal.
INDIKASI :
Penyakit-penyakit saluran pernafasan akut dan kronis yang disertai
sekresi bronkial yang abnormal seperti pada eksaserbasi dari
bronkitis kronis, bronkitis asmatik, asma bronkial.
KONTRA INDIKASI :
Hipersensitif terhadap ambroxol.
EFEK SAMPING :
MUCOS® pada umumnya ditoleransi dengan baik.Kadang-kadang
timbul efek samping pencernaan makanan yang ringan dan adanya
reaksi alergi.
PERINGATAN DAN PERHATIAN :
- Pemberian MUCOS® selama triwulan pertama kehamilan tidak
dianjurkan.
- Keamanan penggunaan MUCOS® selama menyusui masih memerlukan
penelitian lebih lanjut.
INTERAKSI OBAT :
MUCOS® memungkinkan untuk kombinasi dengan obat-obat lainnya.
Terutama dengan obat-obat standar yang digunakan untuk pengobatan
sindrom bronkitis (seperti kardio glikosida, kortikosteroid,
bronkospasmolitik, diuretik dan antibiotik).
ATURAN PAKAI :
Tablet dan sirop
MUCOS® tablet harus ditelan dengan air sesudah makan.
Dewasa dan anak-anak diatas 12 tahun : Sehari 3 kali 1 tablet
Sehari 3 kali 10 ml
Anak-anak 5-12 tahun : Sehari 2 - 3 kali ½ tablet
Sehari 2 - 3 kali 5 ml
2 - 5 tahun : Sehari 3 kali 2,5 ml
< 2 tahun : Sehari 2 kali 2,5 ml
Pada terapi jangka panjang, dosis dapat dikurangi menjadi 2
kali sehari

COMPOSITION:
- MUCOS tablet, each tablet contains:

ACTIONS:
MUCOS (Ambroxol HCl), possesses mucokinetic and secretolytic
properties. It promotes the removal of tenacious secretions
in the respiratory tract and reduces mucus stasis.
Expectorantia of mucus is facilitated and breathing is eased
considerably. Cough and sputum volume are often significantly
reduced. The film-like secretion on the surface of the respiratory
mucosa can thus perform its normal protective function.
INDICATIONS:
Acute and chronic diseases of the respiratory tract associated
with abnormal bronchial secretions, particularly in exacerbations
of chronic bronchitis, asthmatic bronchitis, bronchial asthma,
pre and post-operative treatment, and in intensive care to avoid
pulmonary complications.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Hypersensitivity to any of the excipients.
PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS:
- Not recommended during the 1st trimester of pregnancy.
- Safety during lactation has not yet been established.
ADVERSE REACTIONS:
MUCOS is generally well tolerated. Mild gastrointestinal side
effects have occasionally been reported. Allergic reactions
have occurred rarely, some of the affected patients also showed
allergic reactions to other substances.
DRUG INTERACTIONS:
The combination of MUCOS with other drugs is possible. This
refers particularly to preparations used as standard medication
for bronchitis syndrome (cardiac glycosides, corticosteroids,
broncho-spasmolytics, diuretics and antibiotics).
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
Tablet and syrup
MUCOS tablet should be taken after meals with liquid.
Adults and Children >12 yrs: 1 tab or 10 mL (2 tsp) 3 times
daily
In long-term therapy, the dose may be reduced to twice daily.
Children 5-12 yrs: ½ tsp or 5 mL (1 tsp) 2-3 times daily
Children 2-5 yrs: 2.5 mL (½ tsp) 3 times daily
Children <2 yrs: 2.5 mL (½ tsp) 2 times daily

Children 2-4 yrs: 1.5 mL 2 times daily
Children 1-2 yrs: 1 mL 2 times daily
Children <1 yrs: 0.5 mL 2 times daily
